A monitoring test whereby the heartbeat is continuously recorded over the day in a portable recorder. These beats are then analysed for abnormal heart rates and rhythms.
Measures and records your blood pressure in a portable recorder, over a period of 20 to 24 hours to allow for correlation of the blood pressure to the psychological state and level of activity of a person throughout the recording period.
A cardiac event recorder is a compact device that records and displays ECG waveform in real time easily. You can monitor your heart at anytime, anywhere.
TEE is a specialised ultrasound technique used to visualise the heart from the esophagus. It allows detailed visualisation of the structures of the heart and great vessels. It is also used to examine the structure of the heart and its blood flow. TEE is especially useful in patients whose Transthoraic echo (TTE) images are not optimal and when there is increased clinical suspicion of certain conditions.
ECHO is also known as a heart scan which is a painless, diagnostic procedure that uses ultrasound waves to see the heart.
A treadmill exercise test involves walking on a treadmill with continuous ECG and blood pressure monitoring. This test will assess the response of your heart to exercise or stress, thereby determining a person’s fitness level and detect exercise-induced irregular heart rhythms.
An exercise stress test that allows the cardiologist to study the response of the heart to stress. Ultrasound images are then obtained to study the heart function before and after the exercise. This test is used to determine if there is adequate blood supply to meet increasing oxygen demands of the heart muscles after exercise stress test.
An imaging test that looks at the arteries that supply blood to your heart. It might be used to diagnose the cause of chest pain or other symptoms. A CT coronary angiogram relies on a powerful X-ray machine to produce images of your heart and its blood vessels. A coronary CT angiogram can check your heart for various conditions, but it's primarily used to check for narrowed or blocked arteries in your heart (coronary artery disease).
Coronary Angiogram is an X-ray of the blood vessels. It’s used to look for changes in the blood vessels, such as ballooning, narrowing, and blockages.
