Ambulatory Blood Pressure

Ambulatory Blood Pressure (BP)

Measures and records your blood pressure in a portable recorder, over a period of 20 to 24 hours to allow for correlation of the blood pressure to the psychological state and level of activity of a person throughout the recording period.

What to Expect

A blood pressure cuff will be attached to one of your arms which is connected to a portable recorder. The blood pressure cuff will inflate at pre-set intervals throughout a 24-hours period.

During this period, you are advised to continue your normal activities and to avoid strenuous exercise.

On your return to our clinic the following day, the device will be removed and connected to the computer for data transfer and analysis.
